Retired but still active? Ideas of volunteers for nurses

Many nurses spent before retiring, countless hours of work in a high-pressure environment. If, after a few years of retirement, you realize that Miss the excitement of breastfeeding, a race of very high energy and you will find that once again are called from other services, please note the benefits of volunteering. Voluntary medical workers are in great demand, both here and abroad. Here are some organizations and positions, you may want to consult.

1 Peace corps
While many consider the peace corps is a group that actively recruits graduates of the University, in recent years, this volunteer organization moves its focus to more volunteers, more mature. They are invited to all retirees who are in good health to implement, and those who have medical knowledge are especially sought after. If you want to take a minimum of two years of foreign adventure, in which you will be asked to help those who are in some of the poorest and most of the countries ravaged by conflicts in the world, the possibility of signing for the peace corps.

2. The community nursing
A few days ago, the New York Times published an article about the community based on the faith of the nursing across the country, a movement that helps provide medical care for the elderly, which also lack access to health care.
